Problem description

Customer gets error 531 trying to visit his site.

Actions taken to figure out

# dig A 300 IN A

The problem is concluded in the fact that as Remote IP-address BelugaCDN IP-address ( is used as A record for customer domain.

Remote IP-address (also called origin) is address, where customer site is located. It shouldn't match CDN IP-address (Beluga's or another CDN).

Customer must specify correct A record value before registration. It should point to website where original content is located.


To resolve this issue support should:

  1. Get know original IP address of web site where is actual content placed
  2. Create an escalated ticket at Kayako with request to overwrite original IP address for already registered website
